Kathleen Walsh named SCCPSS Special Educator of the Year
Our lead special education teacher Kathleen Walsh has been awarded the title of SCCPSS Special Educator of the Year. She, along with other District-level awardees from Southeast Georgia, were honored at an awards luncheon in Brunswick last week. The Georgia Teacher of the Year was the keynote speaker for the awards luncheon, which was sponsored by Coastal GLRS. Ms. Walsh is a key team member here at Godley Station and has served as ECST for the last three years. Ms. Walsh is an Adapted classroom teacher serving 3rd-5th grade students using the ULS curriculum. We are incredibly proud of Ms. Walsh, her teaching and care for her students, and her leadership of special education at Godley School.
