Janani Kumar has been selected as a 2025 Carson Scholar

CONGRATULATIONS! Godley Station Middle School’s nominee, Janani Kumar, has been selected as a 2025 Carson Scholar!

With this honor, she will receive a $1,000 scholarship award that will be invested for her college education, along with a medal and certificate. Godley Station School will also receive a Carson Scholars Fund trophy.

Janani was chosen because she demonstrates the highest standards of academic achievement, integrity, and civic and social responsibility.

The Carson Scholars Fund, Inc. was founded in 1994 to address the education crisis in the United States by now retired world-renowned Johns Hopkins Pediatric Neurosurgeon Benjamin S. Carson, M.D. and his wife, Candy. They believed that if children could be taught early to excel, they would stay motivated and have a higher chance of educational success later in life. The Carson Scholars Fund was built on these principles.
