2026 Student Success Expo: Presenting the unlimited potential for "choice-filled lives"

Roger Moss: We have one goal, and our goal is to beat the number one school system in the world.

Dr. Denise Watts: It's an opportunity where we can really see everything come together across our district in terms of creativity, talent and innovation.

Ken Slats: Thousands embarked on the DEH educational Complex in Garden City for the Student Success Expo and STEM Festival. From the egg drop. To the mousetrap car to a little Grease Lightning.

Dr. Denise Watts: We want to showcase not only what's fun about our district, but give our students choices and pathways so that not only they have fun and are successful now, but also in the future.

Roger Moss: And what are we going to do? We have so many ways for our students to succeed in Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools and here are a few ways.

Ken Slats: Ways like medical skills, video and film, entertainment, and so much more.

Dr. Denise Watts: My aspiration for every student is to have a choice filled life. And that doesn't start once the student graduates, that starts while they're in school so that they can see a vision for themselves in the future. And the opportunities that we offer in our school district, give those learning experiences, that workforce development, that hands on opportunity for students to connect now so that they can be successful in the future.

Roger Moss: Say number one. Do you believe we can do it?

Ken Slats: That belief in choices and choice-filled lives was the cornerstone for the Student Success Expo. For SCCPSS, I'm Ken Slats.
